Can you crack this Advanced Caesar Cipher? Here’s a tip: What year is it?
It proved a difficult cipher for many. Advanced Caesar Ciphers are much harder than Caesar Ciphers, which is why code breaking became much harder after the 15th century polymath Leon Alberti had the brilliant idea of combining ciphers. Then an A, for example, could represent both b and c, dependent on its position in the cipher – making life much safer for code makers, but much harder for code breakers.
First to email me the author of the poem was Rae Clark, who is therefore the first JCC Champion of 2018.
